The Stories of Ella Mary Leather

We produced 360° site specific audiovisual experiences based on stories from Ella Mary Leathers book ‘The Folk-Lore of Herefordshire’. 

The book was first published in 1912 and has been a treasured source of the folklore of the county ever since. Living in Weobley, Mrs Leather gathered much of her material from people in the community she loved and supported. 

We worked with local history groups, students and artists to create immersive experiences that bring these stories to life.

The project was funded by Herefordshire A Great Place, and the Hidden Gems grant scheme, which is co-funded by Arts Council England and National Lottery Heritage Fund with support from Historic England.
